Make A Tree

Miaomiao likes to ask me to read the tree’s book for her these days. The full name of this book is ‘The most beautiful four seasons science’. This book introduces the changes of trees from january to december via words and beautiful illustrations. Miaomiao likes the illustrations in this book and often asks me multiple questions while i read this book for her.

This book also introduces multiple ways to play with fallen leaves in autumn. Miaomiao often says that she will collect fallen leaves in autumn and plays with them as the book says. One of the way to play with fallen leaves is to make a colorful tree with multiple fallen leaves. You can draw a tree without leaves on a paper and then paste the fallen leaves on the branches to make a tree.

So after coming back from the Children’s Playground this forenoon, we collect some fallen leaves near our home. “I want to make a colorful tree!” She calls loudly after she comes back home. So i draw a tree with many branches but without leaves on a paper for her. Miaomiao and her grandma clean these leaves with wet towels. And we color the tree with her brown water color pen after lunch. But there is no gluewater at home to stick those leaves on the tree. “I want gluewater, i want gluewater, mom go to fetch the gluewater.” She cries and insists that there is some gluewater at home. She doesn’t listen to us and calls for the gluewater again and again. At last we have to take her to check many drawers at home together and then she agrees there is no gluewater at home. We agree her to buy gluewater in the supermarket at night and then she stops calling for gluewater.

So after supper, i choose a bottle of gluewater from the supermarket while Miaomiao is playing in the Children’s Playground beside the supermarket with her grandma. I think she would be happy to stick leaves on the tree after coming home. After all, it’s interesting to make a colorful handmade tree by ourselves.
