Play In IKEA

After raining for sevral days, the weather turns cloudy this morning. So Sam drives us to IKEA after breakfast.

It takes us an hour to go there. After parking the car, we go shopping in the shops and stores beside IKEA. Then we put the goods we buy in one of deposit boxes beside IKEA and get into IKEA to have lunch first. There are many people in IKEA and it’s not easy for us to find a vacant seat in the dining area. It takes us about ten minutes to find two vacant seats and then Sam goes to line up for lunch. The food in IKEA tastes good. We all eat a lot and then continues shopping in IKEA. We stop when we pass the toys area. There are many toys here for kids to play, not only for sale. And there are already sevral kids playing here. Miaomiao also joins in. One of her favorite toys here is the hammer toy that kids can hammer sevral colorful sticks with a small wooden hammer. There are four hammer toys and many other toys to play here. But there isn’t any spare hammer toy. All the hammer toys are played by other kids. Miaomiao plays other toys for a while, and looks at other goods with us for a while, and stands beside waiting for a while, and then finally gets a spare hammer toy to play. It takes her almost twenty minutes to wait for the hammer toy. She hammers the small wooden hammer for about fifteen minutes and then tells that she doesn’t want to play it any more. So we take her to shop in other places in IKEA then.
Actually we have thought to buy one hammer toy for her at first. But she expresses that she just wants to play it here. So it’s probably that she won’t play it if we buy it home. She feels so interested on that toy maybe just because she has never played it before and she sees other kids are playing it. Children like to play toys together.
We leave IKEA and go home at nearly five o’clock in the afternoon. It’s a happy day in IKEA today.
