Children’s day

It’s Children’s day today. I have planed to take Miaomiao to the Children’s Playground to have fun with other kids. But because of the whole night’s heavy rain last night and the continuous rain and strong wind today, it’s not convenient to go there. So we have to stay at home in this Children’s day.

Miaomiao wakes up at nearly ten o’clock this morning. Both her father and her grandparents call to her to wish her a happy holiday today. (Her father is on a business trip these days and her grandparents doesn’t live with us in Wuhan.)
After getting up, i wear raincoat and rainshoes for Miaomiao and take her out. We buy some breakfast and some fishes in the stores nearby and go home. After breakfast, i take out her pigments and her pictures in the cabinet. Then we start to color the pictures chosen by her with pigments. She likes these pigments and enjoys the coloring very much. After that, we both study the planting specification as i plan to grow some new vegetables and flowers and had prepared the seeds. She helps me to prepare the water to soak seeds very carefully.
Then as it’s time for lunch. While i am preparing lunch, Miaomiao plays by herself or studies different dishwares in the kitchen. Her playmate brother Bean and his mom come to our home to play in the afternoon. Miaomiao and brother Bean play together in her toy house and enjoy a happy afternoon. She helps me plant seeds after they leave. Then we have supper and shower and ready to go to bed.
A simple and busy but also a normal day. Maybe she doesn’t spend a special Children’s day today, but she is happy. That’s enough. Everyday can be Children’s day if she is happy and healthy. Do you agree?
