Play Outside

Miaomiao likes to play outside both in WuHan and in SuiZhou. While we are in WuHan, Miaomiao likes to play with kids in the lakeside garden or the square in front of our community everyday. When we live at SuiZhou’s home, she likes to go out to color pictures, play recreational machines, and go to the Children’s Playground, as there are only few kids live around us. And now we are in SuiZhou, so…

She goes out in her small cart with her grandma and i to the Shennong park nearby to have fun this morning. According to her request, we find a place to color a picture first. She likes to color a kind of picture which can be colored with a special material that can be dried and taken away to play at home. She chooses a large picture with a snail on it. Then she picks up the corresponding pigment to color the picture. Sometimes in order to color the picture better, using a small stick to color the detailed parts is needed. She can do it well. Sometimes her attention is distracted by the playing kids nearby. But she focuses on her picture and color it in most of the time. At last with my help, she finishes her picture in half an hour. Actually she almost finishes this picture by herself alone, as i just assist her confirm the different colors for each parts. Then while waiting the picture to dry, she plays with sevral recreational machines nearby. After getting the dried picture, Miaomiao and i go to the Children’s Playground near the RT-Market, which is not very far from Shennong park. She plays with me and other kids in the Children’s Playground for two hours, until i insist on going back home as it’s too late.
Miaomiao falls asleep on our way home. She plays outside for more than four hours today and she is too tired. Maybe she also wants to go out to play after supper. I will not oppose if she likes. Play is also a kind of learning to kids, i believe.
