Meet A Boy Of The Same Age

image

This morning i take Miaomiao to the nearby drugstore to buy some medicine for her throat after breakfast. We meet a little boy playing at the square in front of our community when we come back. Together is his grandma. This boy runs up and down a slope in the square happily.

Miaomiao feels tired on our way back from the drugstore. She doesn’t want to walk by herself and stands on her scooter and asks me to push it ahead. But when she finds the boy playing by himself there, she gets down from her scooter and starts to run with that boy. Not tired anymore.
She runs and plays with that boy, with excited. After chatting with the boy’s grandma, i learn that this boy is just 4 days older than Miaomiao. That’s to say, they are almost at the same age. After a while, a little girl who looks apparently smaller than them wants to join in, but Miaomiao and that boy both show less interests to play with her. Maybe they just don’t like to play with smaller babies. This little girl and her grandma leave and Miaomiao and that boy still play together in the square.
During this period, Miaomiao hits her head accidentally. I know it’s pain as i have heard the bang when her head hits the iron door handle. But she doesn’t cry. She just points the hurt place to me and then plays with that boy again. I ask sevral times to her if she wants to go home, she all says no.
They play a long time together in the square. Until the boy is willing to go home with his grandma, Miaomiao agrees to go home too. We go home together and Miaomiao waves goodbye to the boy and his grandma when we’re apart.
Seeing Miaomiao loves to play with kids of the same age so much, i think she may love her life in kindergarten in the future. I hope so.
